# Create a workspace

> Sign up, create your organization's workspace and go through the first-time setup wizard.

A workspace is your organization in Tivero. The person who creates it becomes its **Owner**.

**Who:** the person rolling out Tivero in the company.
**What you need:** an email address and a few minutes. No payment card is needed — a new workspace starts with a free trial.

<Warning>
  If your company already uses Tivero, don't create a new workspace. Ask an administrator in your organization for an invitation. When your address is in the company directory but nobody has invited you yet, Tivero shows **Your organisation already uses Tivero**.
</Warning>

## Sign up and create the workspace

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sign up">
    Open [dash.tivero.app/en/sign-up](https://dash.tivero.app/en/sign-up) and register with your email address. Creating an account on its own is not a contract.

    Choose a language and enter the **Workspace name**, for example your company name.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Accept the Terms of Service">

  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the workspace">
    Click **Create and enter**. Tivero opens the setup wizard.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  One account can create one workspace itself. You join other organizations through invitations. If you need another workspace, write to [hello@tivero.app](mailto:hello@tivero.app).
</Note>

## Setup wizard

The wizard walks you through the most important settings. You can skip any step after the organization details with **Skip for now** and come back to it later in the app.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Organization details">
    Choose the country, check the timezone (Tivero detects it from your browser; click **Change** to adjust it) and tick the days under **Regular work week**. Tivero counts request days from this week. The organization's country does not set your billing currency.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create your first team">
    Name your first team. Teams organize the calendar, visibility and approvals.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure absence policies">
    Under **Choose policy templates**, tick the templates you want: **Employment — 20 days**, **Employment — 26 days** or **B2B — planned unavailability**. Tivero creates only the policies you tick.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add people">
    Enter each person's first name, last name, email, employment type and role. The role is granted when the person accepts the invitation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="All set!">
    You see a setup summary and suggested next steps: **Submit your first request**, **Open the calendar**, **Add people**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  The policy templates are product defaults shaped by Polish practice (20 or 26 days of leave, planned unavailability for B2B). They are not legal advice. If your organization operates in another country, treat them as a starting point and adjust them.

## What's next

* Finish the setup with the [Admin quick start](/en/getting-started/admin-quick-start).
* Confirm the [holiday calendar](/en/calendars/holiday-calendar) — until you do, employees can't submit requests that are counted in working days.
* Check what the [free trial](/en/billing/plans-and-trial) includes.
