# Microsoft 365 admin guide

> Requirements, consents and rollout order for the Tivero Microsoft 365 integration: the people directory, the Outlook calendar and Microsoft Teams.

This guide is for whoever connects Tivero to Microsoft 365 — usually an Administrator in Tivero together with an IT administrator. Detailed instructions are in the linked articles.

## Requirements

| Who / what                           | Why                                                                                                                       |
| ------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Administrator or Owner in Tivero** | Only these roles see **Integrations**.                                                                                    |
| **Microsoft 365 administrator**      | Grants consent to Tivero (connection, calendar, Teams).                                                                   |
| **Teams administrator**              | Publishes the Tivero app in the organization's app catalog.                                                               |
| **Tivero plan**                      | Outlook calendar — from the Start plan. People import and sync, and Teams — the Growth or Enterprise plan (or the trial). |

## Rollout order

    In **Integrations → Microsoft 365**, click **Connect**, or **Hand off to IT** if someone else grants consent. See [Connect Microsoft 365](/en/microsoft-365/connect).

  <Step title="Sync people">
    **Preview changes** first, then **Apply**. The calendar and Teams work for people synced from the directory. See [Sync people from Entra ID](/en/microsoft-365/directory-sync).

  <Step title="Turn on the Outlook calendar">
    **Turn on syncing** and grant administrator consent in Microsoft. See [Outlook calendar](/en/microsoft-365/outlook-calendar).

  <Step title="Turn on Microsoft Teams">
    Grant administrator consent, download the app package, publish it in Teams Admin Center, turn on **Teams notifications** and set up the tabs. See [Microsoft Teams](/en/microsoft-365/teams).

## Consents Microsoft will ask for

Tivero only reads the directory. It never changes anything in it.
