# Microsoft 365 issues

> Troubleshooting the connection, people sync, the Outlook calendar and Microsoft Teams.

## Connection

| Symptom                                             | What to do                                                                                                           |
| --------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Status **Needs reconnection**                       | Microsoft revoked or invalidated access. Click **Reconnect** and sign in with a Microsoft 365 administrator account. |
| The IT authorization link doesn't work              | The link expires after 72 hours. Click **Regenerate** and share the new link.                                        |
| Status **Needs confirmation**                       | Your IT admin authorized access. Check the organization and click **Confirm and activate**.                          |
| The wrong Microsoft 365 organization was authorized | Click **Reject**. The integration is disconnected and you can connect again.                                         |
| **Available on the Growth plan** message            | Directory sync requires the Growth or Enterprise plan. See [Plans and trial](/en/billing/plans-and-trial).           |

## People sync

| Symptom                                      | What to do                                                                                                                                             |
| -------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Synced people didn't get invitations         | This is intended — people from the directory are **Imported**. Invite them with **Send invitation**.                                                   |
| Someone who left is still active             | Deactivation candidates aren't deactivated automatically. Deactivate them manually on the **People** list.                                             |
| **Automatic offboarding** can't be turned on | It requires several consecutive complete syncs on the same scope. Keep syncing until Tivero lets you turn it on.                                       |
| **Suspended by the circuit breaker**         | The sync detected a sudden spike of deactivation candidates and deactivated nobody. Review the scope in the directory, then turn the feature on again. |
| The supervisor isn't set                     | Turn on **Manager synchronization**. Tivero never clears an existing supervisor.                                                                       |

## Outlook calendar

| Symptom                                                | What to do                                                                                                        |
| ------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| An absence doesn't appear in Outlook                   | Wait a few minutes after approval. Check that the person is synced from the directory and that syncing is on.     |
| Tivero shows people who need attention                 | Events couldn't be created for these people. Check that they have an active account and mailbox in Microsoft 365. |
| An event didn't disappear after syncing was turned off | This is intended — existing events stay. They disappear only when an approved request is cancelled.               |
| A partial-day absence isn't in Outlook                 | Partial-day absences aren't synced.                                                                               |

## Microsoft Teams

| Symptom                                            | What to do                                                                                                         |
| -------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Microsoft Teams administrator consent required** | A Microsoft 365 administrator clicks **Grant administrator consent**.                                              |
| **Publish the Tivero app in Microsoft Teams**      | A Teams administrator uploads the package: Teams Admin Center → **Teams apps → Manage apps → Upload new app**.     |
| The test notification doesn't arrive               | Check that the Tivero app is available in your organization. After publishing, installation can take a moment.     |
| **Some people cannot receive notifications**       | Check that these people have a Microsoft Teams licence and an active account.                                      |
| A Teams tab asks to finish setup                   | An administrator clicks **Set up Teams tabs** in Tivero. If the prompt doesn't go away, click **Run setup again**. |
| Teams runs an older version of the app             | Download the current package and upload it in Teams Admin Center through **Manage apps → Tivero → Update**.        |
